Services Garden Terrace prides itself in providing a small, personal environment that has the unique quality of a warm "bed and breakfast" atmosphere. Individual attention and personalized care are of prime importance to every one of our trained, professional staff. With thirty-four residents, we are able to provide exceptional care as well as offer all of the comprehensive services of a large skilled nursing facility. Included in our services are the following:     ° Physical and Occupational Therapy;     ° Dental Services;     ° Social Work Services;     ° Podiatry Services;     ° Religious Services;     ° Therapeutic Recreational         Services;     ° Whirlpool Bathing Services;     ° Dietary Services;     ° Barber and Beautician Services; Many services, including physical therapy, occupational therapy and podiatry are covered under a resident's medicare benefit. Lifestyle We believe that Garden Terrace is a community within a community and feel very strongly about maintaining a sense of community for our residents. We achieve this goal by providing many off-site visits to places within Chatham and surrounding areas, including shops, restaurants, theaters, and parks. We invite community members of all ages into our home. We have an adopt-a-grandparent program and other intergenerational programs to foster a sense of involvement and community participation. All of our therapeutic recreational activites are based on the individual needs and interests of each resident. Our monthly calendar incorporates social, physical, intellectual, psychological, and spiritual programs to provide stimulating and diversified activities. Our Staff Each member of our staff is personally selected and is chosen because he or she is outstanding in his or her respective line of work. We have a low staff-to-resident ratio to ensure that each resident receives the proper attention and care he or she deserves. Our staff is trained to be sensitive and professional to all residents. We ask that staff members care for each resident as if he or she is one's own family member. We pride ourselves in the longevity of our staff, as we feel this reflects the type of environment we have created and the type of person we employ.
